Law college teachers seek solving their problems

RAJSHAHI, March 25, 2018 (BSS)- Principals of Law Colleges under National University (NU) called for solving their existing problems through adopting need-based measures in the greater interest of infusing dynamism into their academic and administrative activities.

They mentioned many of the educated both employed and unemployed people depend on the private level law colleges for the professional degree. So, time-fitting steps should be taken to solve the existing problems of the colleges as early as possible.

They made the observation while addressing a conference at Rajshahi Law College (RLC) here yesterday. Law college principals from various parts of the country joined the conference discussing ways and means on how to expedite their activities.

With RLC Principal Advocate Ali Akbar Pramanik in the chair, Khandakar Shamsul Alam from Kusthia, Al Mahmud from Bogra, Mohibur Rahman and Nurul Alam from Dhaka, Sazed Hossain from Rangpur, Nurul Islam Prodhan from Gaibandha and President of Rajshahi Lawyers Association Lokeman Ali addressed the meeting.

The meeting put forward an eleven-point demand drawing attention of the higher authorities concerned including NU.

The demands include bringing the law colleges under Law Faculty in Public Universities in terms of introducing honours course together with diffusion of law education activities to all public and private fields in the present social context.
