Saudi envoy pays farewell call on President

DHAKA, April 30, 2019 (BSS) – Saudi Ambassador in Dhaka Abdullah Bin H. M. Al-Mutairi today paid a farewell call on President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban here.

After the meeting, President’s Deputy Press Secretary (DPS) Abul Kalam Azad briefed newsmen.

The head of the state congratulated the Saudi ambassador for the successful completion of his four-year tenure in Bangladesh.

Recalling the historical relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, the President said the existing bilateral relation between the two brotherly countries is now very excellent.

“This tie will more make stronger in days to come,” he added.

Referring to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s visit to Saudi Arabia and Saudi delegation’s high-level visit here, the President said the visits have opened a new door of opportunity in trade and commerce between the two brotherly countries.

President Hamid conveyed his complements to Saudi King and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Expressing satisfaction over the existing bilateral relations between the two countries, the outgoing Saudi envoy said the relationship reached a new height and it would continue to grow from strength to strength in future.

Al-Mutairi also lauded the contribution of Bangladeshi expatriates to Saudi Arabia and said Bangladeshi nationals are contributing a lot to the development of his country.

Secretaries concerned to the President and high officials of the foreign ministry of Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia were present on the occasion.
