PM donates Tk 20 lakh to Anwara Begum of Cox’s Bazar
DHAKA, April 29, 2019 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today gave financial assistance of Taka 20 lakh to Anwara Begum of Chakoria Pourasabha under Cox’s Bazar district who was a victim of BNP-Jamaat atrocities during their 2001-2006 tenure.
The prime minister handed over a cheque for the amount to Anwara Begum at her Jatiya Sangsad Office here this evening.
The BNP-Jamaat government unleashed inhuman torture on the family of Anwara Begum as her two sons — Muzaffar Hossain Paltu and Saddam Hossain Mintu — were actively involved in Awami League politics.
