DHAKA, April 25, 2019 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today gave financial assistance of Taka 67 lakh to three persons including two freedom fighters.
The prime minister handed over cheques for the donation to them at her Jatiya Sangsad Office here this evening.
Sheikh Hasina donated Tk 25 lakh to freedom fighter and employee of the Mujibnagar Government Md Yakub Hossain Khan and Tk 10 lakh to freedom fighter Syed Mohammad Imran for their treatment.
Besides, Shirina Rahman, wife of late freedom fighter Matiar Rahman, former general secretary of Jhenidah district Awami League, received donation of Tk 32 lakh from the premier.
Shirina Rahman has been suffering from cancer for a long time.
