British businesses keen to invest more in Bangladesh

DHAKA, April 25, 2019 (BSS) – The British businesses have expressed their keen interest to invest more in Bangladesh, especially in the infrastructure, power, energy and communication sectors.

The interest was shown during a meeting with Planning Minister MA Mannan and the British Business Group (BBG) Board members at the residence of
British High Commissioner to Dhaka Robert Chatterton Dickson here today.

The BBG members also lauded highly the economic progress of Bangladesh over the last few years.

Welcoming the British businessmen in Dhaka, Mannan said the investment
climate in Bangladesh is now better than any time in the past.

The Planning Minister also sought more British investment to Bangladesh
in the coming years, said a Ministry press release.

Terming the British-Bangladesh relations as historical, Mannan said that
this relations would boost further in the coming days. Bangladesh High
Commissioner to UK Saida Muna Tasneem was present.

Later, North Korean Ambassador to Dhaka Pak Song Yop made a courtesy
call on Planning Minister MA Mannan at his office.

During the meeting, they discussed various issues relating to bilateral
interests.
