Turning youths into skilled manpower stressed

RANGPUR, Apr 24, 2019 (BSS) – Officials and experts at a dialogue have
stressed on turning youths into skilled manpower by imparting technical and vocational training and education to further increase productivity and
accelerate development.

They made the observation at the divisional level dialogue on
‘Employment of Youths’ arranged by Village Development Centre (VDC) on
Tuesday afternoon at conference room of the Department of Agriculture
Extension (DAE) in the city.

Rangpur Technical Training Centre (RTTC), Department of Women Affairs
and Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) extended assistance in
arranging the event participated by male and female youths from allover
Rangpur division.

With Executive Director of VDC Moniruzzaman Mian in the char, Deputy
Director of DAE for Rangpur Dr Sarwarul Haque attended the dialogue as the
chief guest.

Principal of RTTC Engineer Md. Lutfar Rahman, Deputy Director of the
Department of Women Affairs Kawser Pervin and President of RCCI Mostafa
Sohrab Chowdhury Titu addressed the event a special guests.

Engineer Rahman discussed importance of the ICT-based and modern
science, technical and vocational education to ensure need-based knowledge
and skill to turn huge youth population into human resources.

“The present government has put maximum importance on popularising
technical and vocational education to produce more skilled youth workforce
like engineers, planners and architects on way to build a developed
Bangladesh,” he added.

The RCCI President said the major portion of population is youths who
should be turned into skilled human workforce to make them driving force for
enhancing productivity to attain the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

The chief guest stressed on comprehensive GO-NGO collaboration to turn
all youths into skilled manpower to ensure their employments and self-
employments to build a developed nation.
