President condemns Sri Lanka attacks

DHAKA, April 21, 2019 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today mourned the causalities following a string of blasts ripped through high-end hotels and churches as worshippers attended Easter services on Sunday in Sri lanka.

At least 137 people were killed on Sunday in Sri Lanka, according to media reports.

In a condolence message this noon, President Hamid said, “We are deeply shocked to learn the blast incidents in Sri Lanka. We strongly condemn this henious act of terrorism.”

The head of the state conveyed profound sympathy to the people of Sri Lanka and its government.

Abdul Hamid also conveyed his heartfelt condolences for the loss of lives at the incidents and prayed for the early recovery of the injured, the message added.
