Bangladesh business seminar in Japan tomorrow

DHAKA, April 18, 2019 (BSS) – The ‘Bangladesh Business Seminar’ will be held tomorrow at Fukuoka Chamber of Commerce and Industry conference room in Fukuoka, Japan for expanding bilateral trade and investment between the two friendly countries.

Bangladesh Embassy in Japan, in association with Fukuoka Foreign Trade Association (FFTA), is organising the seminar for discussing potentials and challenges of greater bilateral economic interaction.

Fukuoka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) Tokyo, JETRO Fukuoka, Fokuoka One-Stop Overseas Business Promotion Council and Fukuoka-Asia Business Support Committee are the co-organizer of the seminar.

The seminar is being also supported by Kyushu Economic Federation and Japan Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JBCCI).

FFTA Chairman Naonori Tsuchiya will give the opening remarks while Commercial Counselor of the Bangladesh Embassy in Japan Mohammad Hassan Arif will deliver the key note speech.

Talking to BSS, Secretary General of JBCCI Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan Jun said the event is likely to be one of the most impactful business seminar bringing together business entities in Bangladesh and Japan with current and future business interest.

Leading business entities from Bangladesh and Japan will take part in the event to demonstrate and discuss opportunities in trade and investments, he added.

Before the seminar, HAISON, an investor management and advisory service of Bangladesh, and JBCCI today organized the ‘Japanese Investor B2B 2019″ at Osaka in Japan. Over 60 leading Japanese multinational companies took part at the B2B meeting while 15 Bangladeshi companies participated in the meeting.

JETRO’s Chief Representative in Bangladesh and JBCCI President Daisuke Arai presented the investment situation prevailing in the country.

HAISON and JBCCI also arranged its 3rd annual “Japanese Investor B2B Partnership 2019” in Tokyo on 16th April to facilitate greater private investment between Japanese and Bangladeshi companies.
