RMP seeks media support to combat crimes

RAJSHAHI, April 18, 2019 (BSS)- Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) has sought all-out cooperation from journalists in its drive against crime , drug and smuggling and human trafficking.

Joint efforts of police and media personnel could be the effective means to eliminate crime and other social menaces which is very important to take forward the country, senior officials of RMP said in a views-sharing meeting with journalists here today.

Newly joined RMP Commissioner Humayun Kabir said the society must be cleaned from crimes and drug to protect people, families and society particularly young generation.

Additional Commissioner Suzaetul Islam and Deputy Commissioners Tanvir Haider Chowdhury, Amir Jafar, Joynul Abedeen, Anirban Chakma, Alamgir Hossain and Sazid Hossain also spoke on the occasion.

RMP Commissioner sought cooperation of journalists and community people as well to unearth the dens of criminals, drug traffickers and smugglers.

Police-citizens collective efforts against the social crimes will be effective, he said.
