DHAKA, April 16, 2019 (BSS) – The guidelines of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) for maintaining standard of product and service, titled “Bangladesh Standard (BDS)” is now available on online.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun and State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder today inaugurated the project on “E-catalogue and Bangladesh Standard (BDS) Sale” after the BSTI council meeting at BSTI headquarters in the city, said a press release.
The project is implementing with the financial support of the Access to Information (a2i).
Humayun said anyone can get the BDS from home as the BDS online selling activities have been launched.
“This is one of the steps for materialising the dream of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to build a digital Bangladesh,” he added.
Industries Secretary M Abdul Halim and BSTI Director General M Muazzem Hossain, among others, were present at the council meeting.
