One plane crash survivor reaches home

DHAKA, March 15, 2018 (BSS) – One Bangladeshi survivor of the US-Bangla plane crash arrived here today as the first among the 10 injured passengers of the deadly aircraft accident at Kathmandu’s Trivubhan International Airport on Monday last.

Shahreen Ahmed, a teacher by profession, accompanied by her brothers reached at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on boarding a Biman Bangladesh Airlines Flight at 3.40 PM.

She was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital directly by an ambulance from the airport.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh mission in Kathmandu released the official list and whereabouts of the 10 survivors of Bangladeshi passengers.

Rezwanul Haque, a severely-burnt passenger of crashed aircraft, was sent to Singapore for better treatment on Wednesday.

Official sources said another two severely injured passengers- Eakub Ali and Emrana Kabir Hash- will be sent to India for better treatment.

Three injured passengers named Mehedi Hasan, Saiyada Kamrunnahar Shwarna and Almun Nahar Annie will be brought to Bangladesh soon by their relatives.

Three injured passengers- Md Shahin Beparil, Md Kabir Hossain and Sheikh Rashed Rubayet – are being treated in Nepal, the sources said.

At least 51 people, including 26 Bangladeshi nationals, were killed as the US-Bangla Airlines aircraft crashed and burst into flames at the Nepalese capital.
