DHAKA, March 15, 2018 (BSS) – Bangla Academy will organise a daylong
programme on the occasion of the 99th birthday of Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Saturday.
The programme will include paying tributes to Bangabandhu by placing a
wreath at his portrait at Dhanmondi road No.32 at 7am and function for
children and juvenile titled “Bangabandhur Golpo Sono” at Nazrul Manch on the
academy premises at 11am.
State Minister for Information Tarana Halim will attend the function as the
chief guest while poet Habibullah Siraji will address it.
Poet Professor Dr Muhammad Samad will deliver a solo lecture at a function
at Nazrul Manch at 4pm with Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor
Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.
