DHAKA, March 15, 2018 (BSS)-The country is observing State Mourning Day
today in a befitting manner in memory of the victims of the plane crash at
Trivubhan International Airport in the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu on
Monday.

In observance of the occasion, the national flag has been kept half-mast
across the country.

Prayers seeking eternal peace of those killed in the crash and early
recovery of the injured will be held at all religious institutions and places
of worship, including mosques, temples, churches and pagodas, on Friday.

The decision on observing the State Mourning Day was taken at a high-level
emergency meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair on
Wednesday.

The mourning day was announced following the tragic crash of the US-Bangla
Airlines aircraft in Kathmandu that killed at least 50 passengers.
