Sheikh Russel, Bashundhara post win in BPL
DHAKA, April 11, 2019 (BSS)- Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra and Bashundhara Kings won their respective matches of the Bangladesh Premier League Football held on Thursday.
At the Bangabandhu National Stadium, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra recorded a 2-0 goal victory over old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society.
In the day’s first match, Sohel put Sheikh Russel ahead early in the 4th minute while Rapheal sealed the victory scoring the second goal for Russell in the 17th minute of the match.
In the day’s another outing, table topper Bashundhara Kings maintained their top slot in the league as they came from behind to earn a hard-fought 3-2 goal victory over Saif Sporting Club held at Sheikh Kamal Stadium in Nilphamari.
In the day’s other fixture, foreign recruit Deiner put Saif Sporting Club ahead early in the 2nd minute while Marcos restored the parity for Bashundhara in the 31st minute.
Bashundhara went ahead as Dalien scored the second goal in the 43rd minute while Baktiar scored the third goal for Bashundhara in the 45+2nd minute.
After the breather, Rafi however pulled one back scoring the second goal for Saif in the 56th minute of the match. After that Saif got several scoring chances in the remaining proceeding but failed to convert those into a goal.
