Voters must vote for AL if they want honest people’s rule: Hanif

CHITTAGONG, March 14, 2018 (BSS) – Joint General Secretary of Awami League (AL) Mahbubul Alam Hanif today said people should cast their votes for Awami League if they want the rule of honest people in the country.

Hanif said,” If Sheikh Hasina’s government comes to state power again, Bangladesh will be turned into a true Sonar Bangla as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Hanif said this while addressing a meeting of Patiya upazila unit of Awami League at a local community centre this afternoon.

He also asked all leaders and activists of AL to make the grand public rally of the premier scheduled to be held on March 21 a success.

“Popularity and acceptance of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina continues to remain on upward trend for her government’s role in ensuring massive socio- economic development across the country,” he said.

World leaders have acclaimed her for playing a major role in attaining economic growth amid global recession, gaining millennium development goals, reducing poverty and curbing militancy with an iron fist, he added.

Conducted by Patiya municipality Mayor Prof Harunur Rashid, the meeting was presided over by President of Patiya upazila unit of AL AKM Shamsuzzaman Chowdhury.

AL central organising secretary AKM Enamul Hoque Shamim addressed the function as the chief speaker while Shamsul Hoq Chowdhury, MP, Prime Minister’s assistant personnel secretary Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Shekhor, President of Chittagong South District AL Muslem Uddin Ahmed, AL deputy office secretary Barrister Biplob Barua, Chittagong south district AL general Secretary Mofizur Rahman, its organising secretary Pradip Das, Chittagong south district Mohila AL General Secretary Shamima Harun Lubana, Organising secretary of central Jubo League Badiul Alam Bodi, former central President of Bangaldesh Chhatra League (BCL) Mainuddin Hasan Chowdhury, former general secretary of BCL Mahfuzul Haider Rotan, among others, addressed the meeting .
