DHAKA, April 10, 2019 (BSS) – Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid
Maleque today assured that a research center would be established for doing
high quality scientific research in homeopathy.
“The government has a plan to establish a research center for further
progress and new invention of homeopathic treatment,” the minister said.
Zahid said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion marking
264th birth anniversary of Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, a German
physician who best known for creating the system of alternative medicine
called homeopathy.
Chairman of Bangladesh Homeopathic Board Dr Dilip Kumar Roy presided over
the programme at Institution of Diploma Engineers at city’s Kakrail area.
State Minister Dr Murad Hasan and Secretary GM Saleh Uddin also spoke on
the occasion.
The Minister also assured to increase the allocation for homeopathy from
20 percent to 30 percent in the coming budget.
