Russian President expresses condolence at deaths in plane crash

 DHAKA, Mar 13, 2018 (BSS) – Russian President Vladimir Putin today expressed condolence at the deaths in an US-Bangla plane crash in Kathmandu, Nepal.

“Please accept my deepest condolence over the crashing of the Bangladeshi aircraft in the Kathmandu airport, which caused numerous casualties” Putin said in a message to President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The Russian President also conveyed sincere sympathy and support to the bereaved families and wished speedy recovery of the injured.

At least 49 people including 26 Bangladeshis were killed when an US- Bangla flight from Dhaka crashed into Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport yesterday.

The dead also include 21 Nepalese, one Chinese and a Maldivian. Besides, 10 Bangladeshis and 12 Nepalese survived the crash.
