DHAKA, April 8, 2019 (BSS0 – A Dhaka-bound Biman Bangladesh Airlines aircraft from Singapore today made an emergency landing at Shah Amanat International Airport (SAIA) in Chattogram due to technical glitch.

“The pilot asked for emergency to the Chattogram control tower when he got cautionary signal from one of the engines of the aircraft,” Biman’s General Manager (PR) Shakil Meraj told BSS.

He said the aircraft landed safely keeping unhurt all its 99 passengers and 8 crews at the SAIA around 5.44pm.

The Biman flight BG 085 operated by Boeing 737 molded aircraft named Mayurpankhi is scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 6.30 pm from Singapore.

Meraj said an engineering team of Biman has already been sent to Chattogram to look into the matter.

“We have taken necessary arrangements to bring all the passengers in Dhaka by another aircraft tonight,” he added.
