2 killed in Bogura road accident
BOGURA, April 7, 2019 (BSS)- Two persons were killed and one other was
injured as a truck hit an auto-rickshaw on the Bogura-Dhaka highway in
Noimail area of Shajahanpur upazila here today.
The deceased were identified as Jahurul Islam, 35, son of Efazuddin of
Sonaidighi village under Shajahanpur upazila of the district and Fazlul Haq,
33, son of Mozam Ali of the same village.
Shajahanpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Zia Latiful Islam said
the accident occurred when a Bogura-bound truck hit and rammed a road-
crossing auto-rickshaw in the area around 5 pm, leaving three passengers of
the auto-rickshaw injured.
The wounded were taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College where
Jahurul and fazlul succumbed to their injuries after taking admission there,
he added.
The bodies are kept in the hospital morgue while the injured Rajek Ali, 55,
son of late Javed Ali is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Police detained the driver and his assistant with the truck.
The detainees are Kamol Sarkar, son of Abu-Bakar Siddique hailed from Choto
Boyra village of Shahjadpur upazila and Hasem Molla, son of Abu Taher Mollah
from Gangaprasad village of the same upazila.
