SINGAPORE, March 12, 2018 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was accorded a welcome reception by the Singapore government at The Istana, the office- cum-residence of the Singapore President, here this morning.
On her arrival at The Istana, which also houses the office of the Singapore premier, at 11 am, Sheikh Hasina was received by Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
The Singapore prime minister received the Bangladesh premier at the gate of The Istana when she alighted from her car.
Later, a smartly turned out contingent of Singapore armed forces gave the prime minister a guard of honour.
She inspected the guard and took salute, while the national anthems of the two countries were played at that time.
After that the prime minister paid a courtesy call on Singapore President Halimah Yacob at the same venue.
Sheikh Hasina arrived here on Sunday afternoon on a four-day official visit to Singapore at the invitation of her Singapore counterpart Lee Hsien Loong.
