Govt to set up railway workshop in Rajbari: Sujan
RAJBARI, April 4, 2019 (BSS) – Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan today said the government would set up a new railway workshop here aimed at building railway coach in the country.
“Huge unused land here belongs to railway and Rajbair will be a divisional headquarters as the government will set up four more divisions in the future,” he told a view-exchange meeting at deputy commissioner’s conference room here.
District administration organized the meeting with Deputy Commissioner M Shawkat Ali in the chair.
The minister said the present government has undertaken many plans for development of railway in Rajbari district. “After implementation of the ongoing railways projects, the scenario of Bangladesh Railway will be changed within the next 10 years,” he said.
Later, the minister visited Rajbari railway station and asked the authorities concerned to improve its services.
Local lawmaker Kazi Keramat Ali and officials concerned were present on the occasion.
