Bangladesh to face UAE in Bangamata Gold Cup opener
DHAKA, April 3, 2019 (BSS)- Bangladesh will take on United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the opening match of inaugural Bangamata U-19 Women’s International Gold Cup Football scheduled to be held on April 22 to May 3 at country’s premier venue Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Bangladesh which pitted in group B of the tournament will play their second and last group match against Kyrgyzstan on April 24, according to a fixture released here today from Bangladesh Football Federation.
Tajikistan, Mongolia and Laos are drawn in group A while Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates and Kyrgyzstan are pitted in group B.
The semifinals of the prestigious tournament will be held on April 29 and 30 while the final is slated on May 3.
The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has the plan to host the tournament every year with the addition of this new women’s international tournament.
Sports marketing company K-Sports has bought the rights for this edition of the tournament and will provide all the expenditures.
