LAWMAKERS-RECEPTION
Reception accorded to MPs, KCC mayor
KHULNA, March 24, 2019 (BSS) – Khulna city unit of Awami League and 14-party alliances today accorded a reception to four parliament members including whip and mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) at the Shaheed Hadis Park in the city.
They were given the reception for their contribution to the development of country’s South-Western Zone.
The lawmakers were- Panchanan Biswas, Sheikh Salahuddin Jewel, Akteruzzaman Babu and Advocate Gloria Jharna, Mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Talukder Abdul Khaleque and Chairman of Khulna Zila Parishad Sheikh Harun-ur-Rashid.
Awami League City Unit General Secretary and coordinator of 14 party-alliance Mizanur Rahman Mizan chaired the function. Central AL leader S M Kamal Hossain and President of Khulna Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kazi Aminul Haque, among others, spoke on the occasion.
Over hundred of BNP leaders and activists including 10 KCC councilors joined the AL on the occasion.
The programme was followed by a cultural function.
