3-day travel mart begins from Thursday

DHAKA, March 19, 2019 (BSS) – Three-day Dhaka Travel Mart, the country’s
oldest version of tourism fair will begin in the capital from Thursday.

The Bangladesh Monitor, a travel fortnightly is organising the fair for
the 16th time at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel with title sponsor from local
carrier Novoair while Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB), Biman Bangladesh
Airlines and Mutual Trust Bank joined hands as partners.

State minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali will formally
inaugurate the fair as the Chief Guest where Nepal will join as the partner
country.

The Bangladesh Monitor Chief Editor Raquib Siddiqi revealed these at a
press briefing at a city hotel today.

Forty-one tour and travel enterprises of seven countries including
National Tourism Organisations (NTOs) of Bangladesh, Nepal, Thailand,
Indonesia and Malaysia will display their products and services in five
pavilions and 70 stalls during the fair.

Participating organisations will offer attractive discounts for visitors
on their products and services including domestic and international air
tickets, holiday packages for home and abroad.

BPC Chairman Akhtar Uzzaman Khan Kabir, BTB CEO Dr. Bhubon Chandra Biswas
and Novoair head of marketing and sales of Mes-bah-ul-Islam also spoke, among
others.

The travel mart will remain open for all from 10 am to 8 pm every day.
