One held with pistol at HSIA
DHAKA, March 17, 2019 (BSS) – Security forces of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) today detained a man during check-in at the domestic terminal of the airport for carrying a pistol.
The detained was identified as Nurul Islam, body guard of Probashi Group’s Chairman, director of Aviation Security Forces Noor Siddiqi told BSS.
He said Nurul Islam was a passenger of a Jashore-bound flight ‘Novoair’ this afternoon. He was detained as a pistol was detected in his handbag by the scanner machine.
Legal measures will be taken against him for carrying firearms inside the airport terminal without prior declaration, the official said.
