Arefin Siddique for more research books on Bangabandhu
DHAKA, March 16, 2019 (BSS) – Former Vice-chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Dr Arefin Siddique today said Bangabandhu and Bangladesh are inseparable and research based books on Bangabandhu can help the young generation to know about the life and works of the great leader.
“The young generation must be informed about the life and works of Bangabandhu . . . research based books on Bangabandhu can play significant role in this regard,” he told a publication ceremony as chief guest here.
Gaurab Prokashani organised the ceremony to unveil the covers of three research books of Prof Hasanur Rashid on Bangabandhu at Economic Reporters’ Forum (ERF) auditorium here.
The three books are- ‘Satchallish Theke Swadhinata: Bangabandhu o Bangladesh (From ’47 to Independence: Bangabandhu and Bangladesh), Bangabandhu’s Political Life and Janonetri Sheikh Hasina’s Life and Politics’.
Water resources ministry secretary Kabir bin Anwar attended the ceremony as key discussant while writer of the books Prof Hasanur Rashid gave the welcome speech. Researcher MR Mahbub conducted the programme.
Dr Siddique thanked Prof Hasanur Rashid for writing the books on Bangabandhu and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and said history has been depicted from a neutral point of view in these three books.
The books would also help people especially the young generation to know about Bangabandhu and Sheikh Hasina, he added.
