Morocco Diplomatic Foundation chief calls on JS speaker
DHAKA, Mar 16, 2019 (BSS) – King Hassan of Moroccan Diplomatic Foundation paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jatiya Sangshad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at Bangladesh House in Rabat on Friday.
During the meeting, they exchanged greetings and discussed about the parliamentary democracy, economic and social development in Bangladesh as well as the expansion of the bilateral trade, according to a press release issued here today.
Referring to the existing friendly relations between the two countries, the speaker said the ties would strengthen further in the days ahead.
She said a congenial investment environment is prevailing in Bangladesh as the government has established 100 special economic zones across the country.
She urged Moroccan entrepreneurs to invest in these economic zones.
Hassan praised the unprecedented development in the social and economic sectors of Bangladesh.
He assured the speaker that Moroccan businessmen would invest in Bangladesh.
He also congratulated Dr Shirin for being speaker for the third time in a row.
JS Whip Iqbalur Rahim, MP, Syeda Zakia Nur, MP, and JS Senior Secretary Zafar Ahmed Khan accompanied the speaker during the meeting.
