New generation must know actual history of Liberation War: Sujon
DHAKA, March 12, 2019 (BSS) – Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujon today
said the actual history of the Liberation War should be persevered by
publishing more books on it as the new generation must know the actual
history of Independence War.
The minister said, “It is our duty to place the right information of the
Liberation War before the young generation. The new generation will know the
genuine history of the Liberation War if freedom fighters write books on the
independence of the country.”
He was addressing as the chief guest at the unveiling ceremony of a book
titled ‘Bangladesher Rajneeti’ at Jatiya Press Club here.
The book was published by Abul Hossain Peace Foundation and written by
freedom fighter Abul Hossain.
Dhaka University Professor Mohammad Anisuzzaman and former joint-secretary
of National Freedom Fighter Council Mir Md Asalat were the special guests at
the ceremony.
Professor Abul Kalam Azad Patwary, Joint-General Secretary of Sector
Commanders Forum-Muktijuddo-71 were present at the ceremony inaugurated by
Major General KM Shafiullah Bir Uttam, the first Chief of Army Staff of
Bangladesh.
