54 held in Satkhira
SATKHIRA, March 12, 2019 (BSS) – Police, in special drives arrested 54
persons from eight upazilas of the district in last 12-hour ending at 8am
this morning.
Police also recovered 100 grams of Ganja during the drives.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different
areas of the district.
During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested nine persons, Kalaroa
Thana police arrested five persons, Tala Thana police arrested eight persons,
Kaliganj Thana police arrested seven persons, Shyamnagar Thana police
arrested seven persons and recovered 100 grams of Ganja in an abandoned
condition, Assasuni Thana police arrested nine persons, Patkelghata Thana
police arrested five persons and Debhata police arrested four persons.
The arrested people are accused in several cases, including charges of
subversive activities, filed with different police stations in the district.
The arrested were sent to jail.
