BCL panels sweep Bangabandhu, Zia hall unions
DHAKA, March 11, 2019 (BSS0 – Bangladesh Chhatra League nominated panels have swept the elections in Bangabandhu Hall, Sergeant Zahurul Huq Hall and Ziaur Rahman Hall unions under Dhaka University Central Students Union (DUCSU).
BCL nominees Akmal Hossain and Mehedi Hasan Santo were elected vice-president (VP) and general secretary (GS) respectively of Bangabandhu Hall union polls.
Shariful Islam Shakil and Hasibul Hossain Shanto were elected VP and GS from BCL panel in Ziaur Rahman Hall union polls.
The ruling Awami League students’ wing BCL aspirant Saifullah Abbasi and indepent contestent Toufiqul Islam were made VP and GS respectively in Sergeant Zahurul Haq Hall union polls.
The results were announced by returning officers of respective hall unions this evening as the voting was held from 8am to 2pm without any break at the dormitories.
