One held with arms at HSIA
DHAKA, Mar 11, 2019 (BSS) – Security forces of Hazrat Shahjalal
International Airport (HSIA) today detained a union parisad chairman during
check in at the domestic terminal of the airport for carrying a pistol along
with seven rounds of bullet.
The detainee was identified as Mohammad Masud Chowdhury, chairman of
Fulshahara union of Chowgachha upazila in Jashore, said a press release.
Masud was a passenger of Jashore bound flight ‘Novoair’ this afternoon. He
was detained as a pistol and seven rounds of bullet were detected in his
handbag by the scanner machine.
After primary interrogation, he was handed over to the local police
station for carrying the pistol and bullets without prior declaration, the
release added.
