DHAKA, Feb 27, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Bank (BB) will organise a three-day fair in the city from March 8 for the successful women entrepreneurs to display and promote their products.
Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury is expected to inaugurate the fair as chief guest at Bangladesh Shishu Academy, a BB official told BSS here today.
The central bank is organising the fair, titled “Banker-SME Women Entrepreneur and Product Display-2018”, marking the International Women’s Day, he added.
He said, “The fair is being organized to popularize the BB’s small and medium enterprise (SME) loan facility among special beneficiaries by establishing a platform with all stakeholders.”
The main objective of the fair is to promote SME products of women and to display and introduce their goods for expanding business, trade and commerce.
Around 60 to 70 successful women entrepreneurs will take part in the fair to exhibit their SME products, including jute goods, agriculture and leather products and electrical and information and technology items.
