Bangladesh becomes role model in curbing militancy: Asaduzzaman

PATUAKHALI, Feb 25, 2018 (BSS) – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said here
today Bangladesh has become role model for the rest of the world in curbing
militancy and terrorism.

“We have became role model for the rest of the world in curbing militancy
and terrorism due to successful drives against the menace by the law
enforcement agencies especially by the police and Rapid Action Battalion
(RAB),” he said after inaugurating a newly constructed Baufal Thana building
here as the chief guest.

“A huge development work has been going on across the country under the
dynamic leadership of Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh
Hasina. The AL must be voted to power again to continue the development
works,” he also said.

Among others, Chief Whip A.S.M Feroz, MP, director general (DG) of BGB
Major General Abul Hossain, deputy inspector general (DIG) of Barisal range
police Shafiqul Islam, deputy commissioner Dr Masumur Rahman, Baufal Upazila
Chairman Mojibur Rahman and Baufal municipality mayor Ziaul Haque Jewel, were
present on the occasion.

Police super of Patuakhali Mainul Hasan presided over the function.

The four-storey Baufal Thana building was constructed at a cost of Taka
6.45 crore under the supervision of the Public Works Department.
