DHAKA, Mar 5, 2019 (BSS) – Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi today said that the present government is working to bring back the good days of the country’s jute.
“The government has taken various initiatives and projects giving importance to producing multipurpose jute products for the development of the country’s jute,” a handout quoted the minister as he saying at a rally in front of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban here.
The rally was organized marking the National Jute Day-2019 to be observed across the country tomorrow, the handout said.
The government will undertake all sorts of measures to make the jute sector a dynamic one, Dastagir said, hoping that the good days of jute will come back and its market will extend again.
Secretary-in-charge of the Textiles and Jute Ministry Md Mizanur Rahman and other senior officials were present in the rally.
