Hosts of Russel killers must be rooted out: Khalid

DHAKA, Feb 26, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud
Chowdhury today said people of the country should take pledge of eliminating
the hosts of Sheikh Russel killers.

“The murder of child Russel is a heinous crime, but some human rights
activists did never say anything over Bangabandhu and Russel killing, so we
have to take promise to eliminate the hosts of those killers,” said Khalid.

The Minister was addressing as the chief guest at a discussion and award-
giving ceremony marking the 31st anniversary of the Sheikh Russel Jatiyo
Shishu-Kishore Parishad (SRJSKP) held at the auditorium of National Museum
here.

Mahmud-Us-Samad Chowdhury, secretary general of the organisation, presided
over the discussion.

Chief Advisor Tarafder Mohammad Ruhul Amin, Political Security Analyzer
Major General (ret) Mohammad Ali Sikder, Organizing Secretary K M
Shahidullah, Publicity Secretary Rashedul Haque and Assistant Office
secretary Asadul Haque addressed the meeting, among others.

Khalid said Bangabandhu is the architect of independent Bangladesh. But
Bangabandhu along with his family was killed in 1975.

“They tried to remove Bangabandhu and the true history of the War of
Liberation from the country but failed….the government is working to
establish the ideology of Bangabandhu and the spirit of Liberation War,” he
added.

Later, state minister handed over award among children.
