Mahershala Ali wins best supporting actor Oscar

HOLLYWOOD, United States, Feb 25, 2019 (BSS/AFP) – Mahershala Ali won the
best supporting actor Oscar on Sunday for his portrayal of a black classical
pianist traveling through the segregated American South in the 1960s with a
white driver in “Green Book.”

Ali, the heavy favorite in the category bested a strong field: Adam Driver
(“BlacKkKlansman”), Sam Elliott (“A Star Is Born”), Richard E. Grant (“Can
You Ever Forgive Me?”) and Sam Rockwell (“Vice”).
