DHAKA, Feb 23, 2019 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq today said conspiracy is going on against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the name of holding mass hearing.

“You all please remain alert. Conspiracy has not stopped. That sleeping alliance (Jatiya Oikyafront) is good at only one thing, and that is conspiracy. These are the same people, who plotted against Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and now hatching conspiracy against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,” he said.

The minister said these while addressing a reception at the Supreme Court Bar Association Auditorium today.

Bangladesh Lawyers’ Clerk Association accorded felicitation to Law Minister Anisul Huq, Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan, Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim and State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali.

“Khaleda Zia on February 15, 1996, organised an election without voters but was forced to hand over power within one and a half months in the face of movement. They (BNP alliance) had raised question against 2014 election and tried very hard to build movement against that. But they failed as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina served people very well. They joined 2018 election, but failed again,” Anisul added.

Referring to Jatiya Oikyafront’s yesterday’s mass hearing at the same venue, the minister said after getting defeated in national polls, they held ‘auditorium hearing’ at this auditorium.

“No commoners were here at their programme. They (leaders) slept throughout the programme. In spite of these, they are claiming they held mass hearing here. They held mass hearing inside this auditorium as people were not with them. Sheikh Hasina held mass hearing in 1996 in Suhrawardy Udyan. These are the basic difference between Sheikh Hasina and them,” he said.

Reiterating his previous statement on forming a commission to identify perpetrators behind the killings of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family members, the law minister said, “We need a commission in this regard.”

“We would certainly present this commission to people, so that the history could be written correctly and our future generation does not have to read distorted history anymore,” he further said.

Presided over by Bangladesh Lawyers’ Clerk Association president Md Nur Miah, the programme was also addressed by Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan, Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim and State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md. Mahbub Ali, among others.

The law minister also assured formulating a distinct law for Lawyers’ clerks in the future.
