DHAKA, Feb 22, 2019 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today attended a special prayer and doa for the Chawkbazar fire victims at Bangabhaban Jame Mosque here after Jumma prayers.
Moazzin of the mosque Hafez Quari Md Enamul Haque conducted the monajat seeking eternal peace of the departed souls and early recovery of the victims.
Doa was also offered seeking continuous development and progress of the country as well as the nation.
President’s son Rejwan Ahammad Taufiq, MP, Military Secretary Maj Gen Sarwar Hossain, Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin, senior civil and military officials, and the Bangabhaban staff, among others, joined the doa.
At least 67 people were killed and hundred others injured in a deadly fire that broke out at the chemical warehouse-prone Chawakbazar area in Old Dhaka on Wednesday night.
