US-BANGLA airlines to add B-737 Max 8

DHAKA, Feb 19, 2019 (BSS) – The US-Bangla airlines, a local private carrier, is going to add latest Boeing 737 Max 8, termed as the largest regional jet, to its fleet for the first time in Bangladesh aviation history.

This was revealed today at a press conference at a city hotel addressed by CEO of the carrier Imran Asif and CEO of AerCap Philip Scruggs.

Asif said Boeing 737 Max 8 is one of the most widely accepted aircraft, currently seen in various established airlines throughout the world which is included in the 2018 Air Transport Service. “the decision of incorporating the latest Boeing 737 Max to our fleet indicates that we are advancing as a airlines,” he said.

The US-Bangla airlines will procure the new aircraft from Boeing company through AerCap, one of the largest owners of commercial aircraft in the world that serves 80 countries with comprehensive fleet solutions.

Many renowned airlines in the world including Malaysia Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Oman Air, Qatar Airways, United Airlines, American Airlines, China Eastern, China Southern, Jet Airways, SpiceJet, Fly Dubai have already started using Boeing 737 Max Aircraft, the Us-Bangla officials said at the press briefing.

Shortly, two brand new ATR 72-600 aircraft will be added to the fleet of US-Bangla Airlines, the first private airline in Bangladesh that will collect aircraft from the factory directly.

Apart from this, Asif Imran said US-Bangla Airlines is going to start three days a week in Chennai, India from March 31 as first ever any Bangladeshi carrier to South India.

Currently there are seven aircrafts, including 4(four) Boeing 737-800 and 3(three) DASH8-Q400, in the fleet of US-Bangla.
