SANGSAD BHABAN, Feb 19, 2019 (BSS) – Local Government, Rural Development and
Cooperatives Minister Md Tajul Islam today said secondary transfer station for
waste management will be set up at newly incorporated 18 wards of Dhaka city.
“A project proposal has already been formulated to manage waste at newly
incorporated 18 wards of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC),” the minister
said while responding to a starred question placed by lawmaker Syed Abul
Hossain of Dhaka-4 in the House with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in
the chair.
Under the project, he said, the secondary transfer station along with other
infrastructures will be set up at every new ward.
Tajul said secondary transfer stations (dumping sheds) for waste management
will be set up at every ward of Dhaka-4 constituency.
