Met office predicts rain until tomorrow morning

DHAKA, Feb 17, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
today predicted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at
some places over the country in 24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow.

“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to
occur at a few places over Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one
or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Mymensingh
divisions,” said a BMD press release here this morning.

Night temperature may fall by (1-2) degrees Celsius while day temperature
may rise slightly over the country during the period, it added.

The highest temperature in the country was recorded 30.3 degrees Celsius at
Teknaf in Chattogram division yesterday and today’s minimum temperature is
11.5 degrees Celsius at Srimangal in Sylhet division.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 17
mm at Rajshahi.

The sun sets at 5:55 pm today and rises at 6:30 am tomorrow in the capital.
