DHAKA, Feb 15, 2019 (BSS) – Awami League presidium member and
spokesperson of 14-party alliance Mohammed Nasim today said after the huge
defeat in recently-held 11th national polls, BNP has turned into a frustrated
party.

“You got defeated in polls, got defeated in movement. You fled the field
and now knocking on the doors of court. You can file case in this country of
free politics as you are a case-frenzy party,” he said.

The former health minister said these while addressing a discussion on
current politics organized by Dhaka city unit of Bangabandhu Academy at
National Press Club’s Mawlana Akram Khan Auditorium.

Presided over by Bangabandhu Academy vice-president Major (retd) Shahed
Sarwar, the discussion was also addressed by Samyabadi Dal general secretary
Dilip Barua and Dhaka City (south) Awami League general secretary Shahe Alam
Murad, among others.

“There is no place for case in politics. Politics is based in field. The
party, which is acceptable among people, will survive. BNP is now finding no
ground in the field of politics. That is why they have become frustrated and
desperate,” Nasim added.

The senior Awami League leader urged the leaders of Jatiya Oikyafront,
who managed to win in the national polls, to join parliament and talk for the
people.
