People mandate AL to fulfill Bangabandhu’s dream

SANGSAD BHABAN, Feb 14, 2019 (BSS) – Treasury bench members today said the cross section people have mandated the ruling awami League for the fourth times since 1996 to fulfill the dream of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The mass people have voted the ruling awami League led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to establish starvation and poverty free Bangladesh as dreamt by the Father of the Nation.

“Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib had struggled by keeping two goals in front of him —-one was independence and other was hunger and poverty free Bangladesh,” said Ali Azam of Bhola-2.

He said Bangabandhu had been able to fulfill a goal, but the rest one is remaining ahead us which is being materialized by his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Taking part in the discussion on the thanksgiving motion on the President’s address in the Jatiya Sangsad, they said president M Abdul Hamid in his 158-page address is not only an address but it also a documents on how to turn the nation into a developed one.

“Due to the efficient leadership of the Prime Minister, the country is now standing on the highway of development…. and now our prime minister has presented us a dream of a digital country,” said another lawmaker AKM Fazlul Haq of Sherpur-3.

Referring to the success of the incumbent government, the lawmaker said country’s per capita income now reached to 1,752 US dollars from the earlier 543 US dollars of 2005-06.

The lawmakers also thanked the President for giving a timely speech highlighting the success stories of the government and guiding the nation towards peace, progress and prosperity.

Earlier, they paid rich tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for his contribution to establishing an independent Bangladesh.
