DHAKA, Feb 14, 2019 (BSS) – Country’s earnings from the export of service sector registered 50 per cent growth in the first six months of current fiscal to reach at $ 287.13 crore.
The amount was $ 190.80 crore in the same period of previous fiscal, according to Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
In the July-December period, the export target was $ 250 crore for the service sector.
Of the total earning, $ 280.88 crore directly came from the service while remaining was from other related areas.
Telecommunication and ICT amassed $ 29.48 crore while transportations $ 35.24 crore, financial service except insurance $ 5.70 crore, tourism $ 17.76 crore and others earned $ 48.24 crore.
