Army sets up 7 bridges on Turag River for Ijtema

DHAKA, Feb 12, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Army has set up seven temporary
floating bridges of different lengths over the Turag River aiming to
facilitate better transportation for the devoted Muslims for the upcoming
Bishwa Ijtema 2019, in Tongi.

The army members established camp in Ijtema area from February 4 last to
complete this welfare work under the stern supervision of 14 Independent
Engineer Brigades, an ISPR press release said here today.

The Biswa Ijtema, the second largest congregation of Muslim community after
Hajj, scheduled to be held from February 15 to 18 on the bank of the river
Turag.
