DHAKA, Feb 9, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today
predicted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at a few
places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions in 24-
hour as of 9am tomorrow.
Moreover, one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions
may see rain in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am today, a BMD bulletin said
here.
Light to moderate fog may occur at some places over the country during
tomorrow morning while night and day temperature may fall by (1-3) oC over
the country.
Trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining Northwestern
part of Bangladesh, the bulletin said, adding that seasonal low lies over
South Bay.
The maximum temperature in the country was recorded 32.8 degrees Celsius
yesterday at Sitakunda in Chattogram and today’s minimum temperature 12.0
degrees Celsius at Ishurdi in Rajshahi.
The highest rainfall in the last 24-hour as of 6am today was recorded 12 mm
at Tetulia in Rangpur.
The sun sets at 5:50 pm today and rises at 6:35 am tomorrow in the capital.
