DHAKA, Feb 7, 2019 (BSS) – Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun today sought cooperation of journalists in implementing the government’s development programmes.
He sought the cooperation at a meeting with a delegation of Bangladesh Journalists’ Foundation for Consumers and Investors (BJFCI) at his ministry office here, said an official handout.
The Industries minister said role of mass media should be strengthened in imparting training to journalists, creating public awareness on consumer rights and inclusive development.
Acting Secretary of the ministry Md Abdul Halim, BJFCI chairman Faruk Ahmed and Vice-Chairman Ataur Rahman, News Editor of the Daily Sangbad Kazi Rafiq, Executive Editor of the Daily Sun Sihabur Rahman and Additional News Editor of the Financial Express Anisur Rahman were present, among others, at the meeting.
