Zahid Maleque for new inventions in health sector
DHAKA, Feb 03, 2019 (BSS) – Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque today urged all officials concerned of health sector to further focus on new inventions alongside applying the old ones.
“You all have to work transparently to keep the image of this sector high. We have to bring dynamism in our work to up the standard of our service,” he said.
The minister said these while addressing a views exchange with the heads of Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC), Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS), Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC), National Institute of Population, National Institute of Population Research and Training (NIPORT), National Institute of Preventive and Social Medicine (NIPSOM) and Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC).
State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dr Murad Hasan, Medical Education and Family Welfare Division Secretary GM Saleh Uddin and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Vice Chancellor Dr Kanak Kanti Barua were present on the occasion, among others.
Earlier the minister presided over a meeting on National Mental Health Work Plan, with Chairperson of Bangladesh National Advisory Committee for Autism and Neurodevelopment Disorders Saima Wazed Hossain attending it as chief guest.
