DHAKA, Feb 3, 2019 (BSS) – Ethiopian Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Awami League President Sheikh Hasina on her assumption of office as the prime minister of Bangladesh for the fourth time.
“On behalf of the people and government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and that of my own, I would like to extend to Your Excellency my warmest congratulations on your election as the prime minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh,” the Ethiopian premier said in his message to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Dr Ahmed wished for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s success in discharging her responsibilities.
“Ethiopia’s relations with the People’s Republic of Bangladesh are longstanding and profound and I am confident that your leadership will deepen our ties in the years ahead,” he said.
