Jabed asks to remove illegal structures on Karnaphuli banks
CHATTOGRAM, Feb 2, 2019 (BSS) – Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Jabed today asked concerned authorities to remove all illegal structures on the Karnaphuli River banks in line with the High Court order.
He directed the different stake holders including district administration to remove all illegal structures on both sides of Karnaphuli River from Monday.
“I want to say clearly that all illegal structures on Karnaphuli River in the city will be removed from Monday” Jabed said this while visiting eviction site of the Karnaphuli river bank at 4 pm.
High officials of district administration, including Deputy Commissioner Ilias Hossain, were accompanied with the minister.
The High Court directed the authorities to remove all illegal structures erected on both banks of the River Karnaphuli in August, 2016 against a petition.
